Lord Bereshti's Concubines
Silvian is the favorite concubine of a wealthy lord. Why shouldn't life be good? His master is generous, lusty, and loves Silvian's sly character, as it mirrors his own. His fellow concubines in the household share a nature as lewd and crafty as Silvian's, and Silvian thinks he is the most fortunate creature in the six kingdoms.
It all changes when a new concubine is added to the collection. He's green as a yearling, and what's more, unhappy circumstances have brought him to this position--a position he very much did not want. Certainly he's beautiful, but looks alone don't make a concubine, and Silvian knows that even the skills one gets in a training house aren't enough to make one worthy of the title. Silvian thinks it's up to him to keep the household at peace, the master happy, and--the most difficult task of all--to make the new concubine contented with his situation.
Warnings/enticements: explicit sex, yaoi, strong language, dubious consent, bondage/punishment kink.
Muscle Memory
Silver Forest is only a village, but it's large enough for someone like Shory to blend in, even fit in. He's just another young man scraping out a commoner's living, fair-faced but otherwise unremarkable. No one questions him; he has a home, and he has friends.
And then the men that Shory calls friends learn why he works so hard to go unnoticed. Shory has a past, a notorious one. His past is fascinating to them, fascinating enough to make them forget that Shory ever had the rights of another human creature.
As Shory sinks deeper and deeper into the abuse at their hands, as his friends sink deeper into their depravities, this kind of cruelty can't be kept secret for long. Soon Shory learns that even the simple folk of Silver Forest cannot resist the temptations of a man in their midst who is conditioned to please, to obey. And Shory wonders if any one of them could muster a scrap of human decency and help him escape.

Bio
Amanuensis lives in the U.S. in the Eastern Time Zone. Her consistent hobbies include reading and writing, and she's been doing both since before she can remember. She wrote her first smut in junior high school, and was mortified by the idea that someone might see it. She hid the pages behind the back pocket of her planner. (They're still there.)
She broke into fanfiction in the Harry Potter fandom, and has a website devoted to her HP fanfiction at http://www.amanuensis1.com . She stumbled across the anime Death Note and began mainlining Japanese anime and yaoi; her other ventures into fanfiction have mostly been aimed at those.
Among the book experiences that have given her some memorable moments, Anne Rice's Beauty series taught her that she wasn't the only one to enjoy non-consensual sexual fantasy and Mercedes Lackey's Heralds of Valdemar series saved her from ignorant homophobia. Bertrice Small's books taught her that sixteenth-century English heroines should be very careful about going to Turkey!
She writes smut because those are the fantasies that show up and say, "We want to be written down. With details. Lots of filthy details." She is thrilled to pieces that other people enjoy reading them!
Hobbies:
Over the years, her hobbies have included:
- reading and writing,
- fairy tales,
- theater,
- Anglophilia,
- voice,
- fantasy and science fiction,
- foreign languages (never enough study to become fluent, unfortunately),
- guitar,
- comic books,
- dollcraft,
- computer pinball,
- Mystery Science Theater 3000 (and its offshoots), and
- Playstation 2 games, including a whole lot of Dance Dance Revolution.
Favorite Authors:
Authors who have either taught her something or just provided a great story include:
- Anne Rice,
- Mercedes Lackey,
- Lois McMaster Bujold,
- Tanith Lee,
- Samuel Shellabarger,
- Jacqueline Carey,
- Sharon Shinn,
- Ray Bradbury,
- The Brothers Grimm,
- Orson Scott Card,
- Harlan Ellison,
- J.K.Rowling,
- Alan Moore,
- Naomi Novik,
- J.R.R. Tolkien,

- Neil Gaiman,
- Jane Austen,
- Aran Ashe,
- George R.R. Martin,
- Diana Gabaldon,
- Anne Bishop,
- David Weber,
- Mary Renault,
- and Matt Wagner.
The list is vast; she's sure she's forgotten someone crucial and will be embarrassed later but Kali assures her she can add to the list later! By the way, for those wondering why Shakespeare is missing, she doesn't read Shakespeare; she watches it.
