I was on deviantART.com and noticed that heise created playing cards out of her artwork. As the SLPG cover collection grows, it could be worthwhile to have the art featured on different products.

I have thought about this a bunch as well. Calenders and t-shirts would be fun. I found this one site where I could have the cethe art work on a black or navy shirt and then add rhinestones over the stars in the background. That one was kinda expensive though.

Right now I am in the midst of preparing for Yaoi Con and ordering all sorts of fun items with the SL logo and art on them. Should be fun.

What about putting a few chapters of the published books, the subscription stories and the artwork on CD-ROMs? Maybe even the first 10 can have a special gift, like a free month's subscription price, calendar or a t-shirt.

Silly question about the cards, belatedly. Unfortunately I've a well entrenched lung infection so I'm feeling PEACHY...

Is there some reason you can't make the cards with either CETHE's or CAKE's artwork as the back?

Hell... I admit I'd rather buy TAROT with one or the other on back but that's me. LOL.

Also, with the CD...

We could do something like that with scubscription work. A one time lump thing to let people know if they wanted to buy a subscription. But as for the books... we might have to wait a while to do that... It IS a good idea for the books though. But the thing is we post free chapters already.

I know that Harial makes backgrounds of some of the covers at times... maybe we could do that? Allow people to download that?

Maybe making a computer icon/destop background set would work. I had an Utena one that I had on my computer... it was rather amusing. XD

Anyhow... enough of my rambling.

I use magnetic ones that don't fall out of my bloody books. And for those buying paper books, well... they are useful. I don't think they're THAT out of use or bookstores wouldn't still sell them.

Actually, my latest batch of mini-cards came from the lovely people at Moo, and they can do the picture-on-the-back thing. Now, I had mine shipped from the UK, but I know for sure they have an US store as well. In fact, I liked the quality of the mini-cards so much I plan on getting my next batch of business cards from them, as well.

I'd still like the answer to that question, Alice. Any anime cards I've gotten have only ONE background for the back of the cards, not multiple ones. They often do have different scenes for king, queen, etc in the deck though but that isn't necessary at all to have.

Anyhow, we could also think about just having a free background available for each of our books for people to download from the store. The backgrounds would get people talking when they see other folks computers. Free advertizement. If we can get an entire background package, that would be even better, I suppose.

Tees are easy if you make the cover all that's on them. You can also make things like "I live for Michael." or "S.E.X. is best." both of which remind me of the cheezy things I've seen for yaoi at other shops.

*shrugs* It's really up to Harial though. I'll prod her to answer after my migrane does something OTHER than pound on my head...
